idle problems

hey all hope someone can help me ???
i have a c70 t5 gt pre me7 which is idling funny 1200 1500 rpm sometimes falls down to 1000rpm , i thought this could be the idle control valve so took it apart cleaned it still the same ,,, went to a scrappies one afternoon and was lucky to find a nearly new one on a volvo so had that off and tried that still the same ,,,,i put my cheap obd2 reader on it and it,s showing po505 which points to the idle control valve ??? i also had a slight injector leak so i have replaced the injector seals ,,,,, has anyone encountered this problem or can shed any light ????? many thanks marky

Hi Mary, by now I would have thought that your car will be high mileage. While you hade the injectors out it would have been well worth having them cleaned, if only to eliminate them.
Have you seen this?

Also may be worth checking all your vacuum pipes as this may be the culprit
