Strange noise coming from the rear!

I turned up an off camber left turn last night and there was an almighty squeal from the rear, it sounded like the space saver sliding about but upon further inspection i found the wheel to be strapped down tight.

Ive read before about cars failing the MOT because something has come unstuck at the rear so now in worried!

Any ideas please?

Grab a comfy chair and a cold beer and stop worrying(valium optional) It's booked in early next week so i'll get it on the ramp and have a proper look at it with you.Be far easier than wriggling round on your back in the rain !
