If you look at the clocks, the engine is running and the ems light is on. No mention of that in the description.

Always a good sign too when they can't be arsed to fuel it before selling.

i asked the guy a couple of questions.

Q1 do you have a dyno print out to confirm the 300bhp

A1 i dont have a dyno print out, i took my mates word for it! the standard auto was 240bhp and the manual was 250bhp.

Q2 what size is the turbo?

A2 to be honest i dont know much about the car.

this guy has no idea what so ever.

lol lol lol lol

Speaking of ebay: has anyone seen this one?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180286102586&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008
Item number: 180286102586

It seems to be going for a lot of money.. 1650 with 22h to go.
I know these cars are good, but does anyone know why this one is going for about double what most like this are going for...

Looks very tidy 96T5Andy, and very low miles with FSH.

Car valuation adjusted for 88,000 miles

The valuations quoted are prices you should aim to pay for a used car, not the advertised price. You should adjust your valuation to allow for extras that were not standard specification.

Retail: £2,256
Private Good: £1,636
Private Average: £1,126
Private Poor: £626

That car looks to have been well cared for. From the advert it looks as if some time has been spent arranging it and with plenty of photo's. Its a very similar car to mine and if I were looking for one at the minute I for one would be very interested in placing an offer, after a viewing of course. The price only reflects what people are willing to pay and if someone likes what they have seen it's obviously worth it to them. I paid £1100 for mine 14 months ago after a good search as mechanically it appeared to be sound but then all the serviceable parts werechanged and thats when the price went up. If this one is as well cared for as the add states through volvo all the serviceable parts would be in good condition already and it would bea fairly decent buy. Just my two pennies worth any-hooo. Someone else may think an entirely diferent thing all-together.

I have edited my last post to include a Used Car Valuation from Wise Buyers.com

Seems to be about the right money.

Oh right. Thanks for that, good news I suppose, seems my car is worth more than I thought (I thought it was worth peanuts given petrol price) as its a similar spec / milage / condition / fsh...
Thanks for enlightening me.
