They're about £255, I'm sure.

Mine went on the C70 T5 a few weeks ago.

Don't buy one like that, the pattern parts are, at best, rubbish. The only one's that work properly and last any sort of time are the genuine Bosch units. Those start from about £80. Full price from Volvo is in the region of £300 I believe.

Bosch parts can be had pretty cheaply from authorised outlets. Some dealers charge a lot, have you asked Rufe for a price?

I've used FCP Groton before (www.fcpgroton.com) and found them to be very good and the delivery from the states is remarkably fast as well (2 days)..

i've just checked and they stock original Bosch MAF's at $167.58 (£93.65) + delivery - but if you buy before tomorrow you can use this promotional code which will give you 10% off unit cost (not delivery): SEPTPROMO

FFS, that is exactly what I said. OEM parts are genuine, non-OEM are pattern. I specifically said the PATTERN parts are rubbish, I would only ever buy an OEM MAF.

Now, have another look at the second advert you linked to, where does it state it's a genuine Bosch one? Look very carefully at the advert, it says "Brand Airflow Meter", then underneath lists a Bosch part number. It never says the MAF on offer is actually a Bosch unit. Also, lower down the advert it states "Photo is not actual item".

Hi Chap

Just replaced my MAF after a quote from Rufe for £220, with a genuine Bosch unit from eBay. Posted this in an earlier thread, but for you have copied and pasted the relavent linky below;

Tuesday 9th September 2008, 22:49

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sourced a replacement MAF on eBay.....100% genuine Bosch apparently, exact part numbers. Should be with me tomorrow.

Heres the linky

Be aware that the MAF from a 1997 MY V70R differs from a 98 apparently. Best bet is to look at your MAF for the Bosch number and the Volvo number.

Yes and No,,

went to pick one up thinking it was a bosch one as on web site, but once there was told no its a pattern one.
I then said ive heard these are pants and you need bosch,( no sir these are good) and only £88.

Got it home ,stuck it on and bingo she fired up again , ticked over lovley, took it out later for a spin, miss fires , one min feels like ive no boost , then boosts and miss fires.

Have now chopped the car in on a p/x for a merc M/L

Shame as it was so nearly a great car for me..................

as you are suggesting theres only one coil on the car then it would be a 1998 model. (1999> ME7 had 5 individual coils).

The MAFs are not cheap items from volvo i will admit, and you will probably save a a fair bit if you can get hold of a bosche unit from a dealer (be warned not Volvo mafs are automatically bosche units, as some people think). Best bet is to call up a local auto electrical supplier with the bosche number off the old unit and see if they can match it up.
