Hi everyone.
I need help and so does my car...
My 2002/51 V70 T5 has developed a severe judder in the last two/three weeks. Originally I suspected the wheels/wheelnuts but they've been checked and rechecked. I've been to my local very friendly garage and they've done the wheel shake test part from the MOT and nothing.
Originally it started shaking the steering wheel from 45mph all the way through to 100mph but, since my friendly garage checked without any success in identifying the fault; it seems to come in more toward 60mph and isn't through the steering but the whole car.
The only thing the garage could say was it could be the driveshaft being unbalanced. I've just done an airport trip of some 20miles and the whole car shakes under acceleration from 40mph onward.
I've just lost my job, money is tight and I fear it could be 'spares and repair' in the loot paper.
I love the car, and I want to keep it. I can't afford to throw money at trying to diagnose the fault. Does any one have any experience or ideas..
Much appreciated
Andy
