Hi all - I have a 1996 t5 with no cruise control.

Q: Is it possible to retro fit a cruise control to my baby?
Well obviously it can be done, but is it simple and what is involved - has anyone done such a conversion??

It may be cheaper than inadvertently racking up more points on my licence!!!!
.....and better for road safety all round obviously ;>)

It is possible and being as 850's are fairly common these days you should be able to pickup all the parts fairly cheaply.

No, there's no software upgrade on the older cars, just fit the hardware.

Hi,we keep all the bits for the conversion, the whole thing we do at £50 inc next day shipping.Easy to fit,bit fiddly wedging yourself down by the pedals but otherwise a piece of cake.:)

When I do, and post my how to, you can read it and see.

We may be some way off.
