Power steering.

Has anyone removed the bash gaurd to the side of the steering rack in-between the downpipe? Can it be removed without affecting the steering? Or is it bolted to the steering unit?

Hiya,

I'm pretty sure I removed it when I replaced my front anti-roll bar (which is a swine of a job). I didn't remove the steering rack but I may have loosened some of the bolts holding it to the subframe to get the crash guard out.

Sorry I can't be more certain.

It can be removed & isn't that bad of a job,i think it either 2 or 3 15mm bolts,wont effect the steering as its not part of the rack/steering assembly.
