Remote central locking/ alarm problem

Right, the car locks and unlocks as it should do, but if i lock the car with the remote the alarm will go off about a minute later. If locked with the key its fine. Any ideas what needs doing?
I have an idea what it could be, but wouldnt mind the opinions of your good selves!

sounds like the alarm module going to ground when its activated i could be total off the ball though

Only thing i can come up with is a door sensor is a bit faulty, A very similar thing happens on Rovers when something is up.....

think it was because they were grounded to the doors need to bare a little metal and refit
