Hey

Could anyone tell me the "proper" offset for an 850 or the offest of my volans?

Volans have an offset of 43mm.

Hi are they not 5 x 108 pcd x 43 offset, dont ask me the center as im not sure as the wolfrace i had were bigger than normal, HTH.

cheers chaps,

If my thinking is right, on a 17" wheel with a et of 40 the rim will sit slightly closer to the wheel arch..?

Will a ET40 wheel look ok?

My concern is that it would not look right, I have seen a set of alloys someone put on a c70, they looked like space savers lol

Hiya,

that sounds right, 3mm nearer the arch. You might find you get rubbing at the top of the wing where the wheel arch liner meets if you corner hard and the car rolls enough to touch the tyre there.
