To be honest, a K&N replacement panel will be about the best for performance gains!
But a Halfrauds universal jobbie will fit and sound loud! :)

will a universal one fit strait on? looked at mine and i think the airbox is atached to the pipe via 2 or 3 screws?
what diamiter atachment pipe will i need on the air filter?

If i'm remembering correctly, when you unbolt the air box from the MAF housing, there will be a small length of MAF tube about 3in diameter sticking out!
Should be just right for most universal cone filters to fit to!

But, be wary of foam filters when used with a MAF sensor,
They allow alot of the air filter oil to be sucked through and on to the MAF sensor, resulting in a buggered MAF!

I fitted a K&N cone filter to mine a while ago & didn't get the desired induction 'roar' as you do with the BarryBoys Saxos, I decided to remove it & fit an ITG panel filter.

To be honest though, I didn't notice any benefit performance/economy wise comparing these filters to the OE one.
