Reckon you are best getting one thats for the T5-R. You could just buy a universal one which will be alot cheaper but the quality won't be as good.

Buy a performance panel filter. A K&N style will just suck warm air and will do you no favours.

You have a box with a good cold air feed.
If you get a K&N you will have to spend out on the filter unit, a lot of heat shielding and CAF pipe.
A decent flat panel will do the job better, give better performance and be cheaper.

You can.
It will just cost you more and give you no benefit over a decent panel.

it looked pretty special

are they Chrome mirrors?

stainesy

yeah i was going for the silver and chrome effect. chrome mirrors, wipers, windscreen water jets, numberplate surrounds, areal, polished alloy cold air feed intake. even had the fins in the in the front bumper chromed just infront of the front wheels in the pic. but that was after i took these pics. was my pride and joy. wasnt as fast as my T-5R but it looked gorgeouse and turned heads everywhere. but in the end the headgasket went and didnt have the money to get it sorted. had to sell it bit by bit to get enuf money to by another car. that killed me. but hay i have a new project now and yes that does mean im keeping the T-5R.

Why did you ditch the Calibre just for the sake of a head gasket ?....anyway, surely a cone type filter housed in a sealed intake box is pretty much the same as a panel filter in a standard air-box ?

I think the only reason people favour cones with an induction setup is for the noise, to me a decent panel filter in the original box will win hands down every time.

i found on my cally V6 it made a big diferance.
airflow was alot smoother and seemed to respond faster to exeleration.
this is the one i have.

Hiya,

given the right connecting pipes etc, I don't think there's no reason that couldn't work on an 850. Just check things like the MAF diameter to see if you'll need reducer silicone pipes and such.

Cheers, Pete
