Right heres 3 piccys of the same car, first one was when i got it with the Original Wheels ( The Good! ) Second is with those god darn awful 17" Wolfrace ( The Bad! ) and the third is with my new 17"'s ( The Awesome! )

I got them off Fleabay, they have just been Refurbed, the only gripe is he didnt take the weights off the outside of the rim before painting them, what a ££££! as now i have Blind Balanced them and theres a 1 inch gap in the nice shiny paint to the old paint below where the weight once was, But i can live with that, £160 all in cant be bad. Im getting the center's for the new ones tomorrow off my old T5, they were in good nick so i kept them.

Opinions please!

Cheers.

They are Tethys.100%. Most commonly fitted to S60 2.0T and some T-5 S60's.Not usually found on V70's though unless fitted "post showroom".Look nice on the 850,i had a set on my old 850R and they looked well on that.

Nice job and loving them on a White P2!

The Tethys that is.

Orestes look very smart indeed with the bright callipers.

What sort of paint did you use for those or where they already done?

The Tethys were sprayed with plasticote from B&Q :bricks:

Then they were finished with a high gloss clearcoat. It was very easy.

Considerably easier than cleaning the damned things.

They have a tendency to become "blasted" on the leading edge of the spokes and the paint was back to the primer, so they wouldn't clean off any more.

I'm confused now.....

I don't know if the gunmetal Tethys or the Orestes look best.

Once I've worn these tyres out I'll probably swap back to the Tethys to re-furb the orestes.

Same stuff.

I was bored one night and couldn't decide. so I did a lucky dip on the paint store and came out with plasticote flourescent orange.

After laughing at it I decided it may not be so daft.

White primer> Florescent orange> High gloss laquer.

Nice one i might check it out, i painted my callipers Red, only because there was big gaps between the spokes of the wolfrace, but you cant really see them now behind the Tethys, the orange would make them stand out a lot better.

Prob been posted before, but here's a good site to experiment with various wheels, to see how they would look on your Volvo. Just click on the arrow in the white box called 'Valj bilmodell har', and you will get a pull down menu- select a model, and click on the wheels below....

Being honest I prefer the original T5 alloys......... 2nd set were terrible..... 3rd set I can take or leave....... I like white though, so I think the car looks pretty tidy anyway.
