Nice, with a reverse I/c, wheel looks good too....
I would suggest strutt brace and poly top mount as starters...

reverse i/c were fitted to early cars but there was some problem in sweeden with a part freezing i think so they changed it. I had a later model where the previous owner had made up their own reverse i/c set up but dont think there are any drastic gains.

Good choice with the grille, had one like that on mine with a slash of a later model (me7).

Strut brave is only £60 i think from volvo.... may need corrected on that!

Volvo strutt brace is about £70, i expect Rufe may be able to better that....

I was supprised to see the reverse I/c on a m reg, albeit a phase 1...., the theory is that the pipe work from the I/c to inlet is shorter, therefore more chance of a cooler inlet temperature.....I agree the difference would be hard to judge. Another feature of the revese I/c at manufacture is that i believe the inlet manifold was different too......

Nice car, it looks like a great starting point for some mods. Defo agree with Jod about the strut brace and the poly top mount, I'd also add a decent air filter too.

Yeah sure, there are a few threads around showing before and after refurbs...
I think the egg crate style looks more aggressive, tho dreadful unless the horns are relocated behind the bumper i accept.....

im not a fan of the eggcrate on at 850 T5... to me looks like one of those cars theyve debranded to use in an advert! I loved the grille I had on my old one, mesh centre, chrome surround and later slash. Only prob was needed to move the horns:

Jonno, How did you paint the grill? I would like to do the same thing to mine. Did you rub it down first and what paint did you use.

Looks great by the way.
