850 front door check straps

Are the front door check straps 'handed'? reason for asking is my check strap front passenger side is kaput. I have a drivers door side strap spare, are they unique to side or can they be used either side? Thanks!

if its a model up to and including 1996 your in luck mate, they are not sided

however, if its a 1997 model then they are sided (same go's for P1 V70's then)
