Would it be worth doing at conversion to a
302mm front brake kit (removed from a 1998 VOLVO V70 T5)

my car is a v70r auto (1998) and if converted how much of any improvement would it be over standard brakes

thanks

Hiya,

I put the 302mm upgrade on my 850R auto and I felt an improvement - I'd experienced brake fade with the previous 280mm setup, and haven't since. This included a track day where I was running 302mm discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads.

Hi, your V70R should have 302s as standard on the front.

Pad change is the key IMHO. Set of Ferodo DS2500s or DS Performance will improve things immeasureably

Beside which are you sure you dont already have 302s?

You ll need to change the brake lines if you dont

Thanks for the replys - will check the disc size next week.
It was just that there was a set on ebay and was not sure if
I had the larger discs and if not was it worth changing?

once again thanks for all replys

yes i would be surprised if you didnt allready have 302mm's mate

you can measure of course, but you can also use this diagram i made before as a reference too:

(not every single code is on there, but this covers most cars)
