Hi Lucie, welcome back

I hate to say it but gas conversions dont come cheap :( so your only option may be to reduce your engine size (but not your standards lol!) Perhaps putting it on ebay or pistonheads for swap/Part ex could be the answer?

My mum has just brought a KA and it cost £600 in mint con and runs on next to nothing but I am so used to being in my big safe volvo I would be worried about putting them in that, but I dont know what other car to look at Ford escort?

Yes I think so, just have to buy something in the mean time as I am having to drive 60 miles every other day which doesnt come cheap in an s60 t5 lol

Hmmm There are some real bargains to be had at the moment, what about a Vauxhall Omega Diesel? Big, safe and fairly well built and can be had for less than a grand for a half decent jobbie?

Have you one the maths to see how long an LPG conversion would pay back ?

You say you're doing 60 miles every other day but that doesn't amount to £100 a week! If it did you'd be getting just less than 10 mpg! What is your annual mileage ?

Some companies are offering interest free on gas conversions as the amount you'll save offsets the cost of the conversion.

Don't take this the wrong way but what about a different job or getting a payrise?

I put about 80quid a week in my t5 and am booked in to get a gas conversion mid-aug. This has a payback of 11 months for me
