I don't think that you need a picture of them on a C70. They will look the dogs cahoonhas them. The dark alloys always look smart. I'd like to change mine but there is no way that the handbrake will let me do it.

i guess we'll soon see! lol! :)

here's a pic of them on an A6:

these are 19's on a mondeo:

and one of them on a golf:

couldn't find a pic of them on a volvo - anywhere on the net! lol!.. i think the black centres and polished lip might look quite good against the cassis paintwork..

lol!- that wasn't lunch time.. that was finishing time for me a Thursday! :) :)

one of the main reasons for the new wheels is that the existing ones all need a refurb - varying degrees of lacquer peel and slight curb rash on a couple (not caused by me - i'll add! lol!).. and one of the rims has a slight dent in it where it was introduced to a pothole on Crew Road South! and i don't have any other wheels for it.. coupled with the fact that they are genuine split rims and most refurb companies won't touch them up here, just makes it a bit of a headache! lol!..

once they're off the car i'm thinking about getting them refurbed properly (i'll be able to send them away! lol!) and will then either sell them or keep them and return the car back to original when selling.. if i do decide to sell them though i'll keep you in mind and give you first refusal.. :)

I got a quote of about £320 for a full refurb on 18 tritons, from this place in Airdrie.

They have done a refurb/repair for me before and it was good

thanks mate! - i'm hoping i'll get a chance to get round to getting them swapped over! lol! - i should have them in 2-3 days and will then need to get the Pirelli P-Zero's on the tritons swapped over and have them balanced etc.. but i've just found out i'm working away part of next week!! arrgghh!! i might try and get thursday or friday off though! lol! :)

can't wait! lol! - should look really good.. i've not seen another Cassis C70 up here and definately not one with these alloys so should make it even more unique! :)

i've done a comparison shot with my BBS Tritons and the TSW Legends below:

BBS Tritons:
http://www.paullynch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/C703.JPG

TSW Legends:
http://www.specialfaelge.dk/images/articles/600x600/TSW_Legend.jpg

Pretty similar wheels when you look at them next to one another.. although the TSW Legends have more of a dish to them and more elongated spokes.. and they're not split rims! lol!..

i've just called them up to check on delivery and they told me that my wheels wont be getting shipped for around another 3 weeks as they are waiting on tuner lug nuts being made for my car... apparantly they are a rare size for Vovlo's.. does this sound normal or is it BS??..

Didn't the forum user "Dacs Volvo" i think that's his name, have issues with a wheel supplier having problems with offsets or bolts when he ordered up some wheels for his c70. Finally got his money back though.
Most internet suppliers wouldn't take payment till the items were shipped out.

i think Dac had problems with DP Motorsports up here?.. as for payment i paid in full on Friday! lol!.. i'm half thinking of having a rummage around and cancelling and going with someone else.. as they told me it would only take 2/3 days originally.. Grrr i hate waiting on things!!!..

going from bad customer service to good customer service though! - Rufe called me today to take payment for my new grill so with any luck this should be here during the week and will be fitted before the RR day.. it just would have been good to have the grill and the wheels done! lol! :)

Pangster, i have a direct account with TSW so if you like i'll phone them when i get back to work on Wednesday and see if your supplier is telling porkys or the truth. These bolts you mention are usually only a problem with multi fit wheels, that is the ones with 8 holes, which can fit both pcd's 100 and 108. They need narrower bolts as the holes are smaller. A standard 5 stud fitment shouldn't give any problems.

that would be sound! :) - if they're messing me around i'll just cancel the order and get my cash back and get the wheels from elsewhere..

the price i paid i thought was quite keen though - i paid £515 for the rims and delivery..

here's the details Rufe sent me:

EGG CRATE GRILLE:
P/n: 9190777
Volvo Price: £139.82 including vat
Our Price: £116.81 including vat and including delivery
Availability: Would be with you in approx 3 - 4 days, sent out fully insured with royal mail parcel force.

as far as fitting it goes i think there are just seven or eight slide clips that need to be undone - fit the new grill and then redo the clips.. probably 10 mins top to fit i would imagine?..

i think its a personal taste thing at the end of the day.. and partly depends what colour your car is as well.. i think darker colours can get away with them better.. but i personally prefer the crystal lights.. :)

just an update.. guess what.. no wheels!!!.. although i did get my tuner lug nuts/bolts - which means the excuse they were fobbing me off with before was absolute ££££££££ (that they couldn't send the wheels and bolts separately as the bolts came direct from the manufacturer)

Rochford Tyres (www.alloywheels.com) are without doubt the worst company i've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.. they are absolute cowboys.. i wish i had some more reviews of them before dealing with them.. i've just been on the phone to them and they are about as much use as tits on a kipper.. i managed (after some persuasion) to get a consignment number and checked and it looks as though they've not even been sent out yet! - which means i've taken a day off work for nowt!

i would STRONGLY recommend that no one from here uses them in future..

That's a shame mate, I was going to PM you and ask how you were getting on. I was going to order the same wheels for mine from Rochford Tyres, but I think I'll look elsewhere now.

Sorry to hear of your woes, I don't suppose you can cancel the order and get your money back can you?

i asked about cancelling them and getting a refund today (something i should have done weeks ago!) - but they said that as they were in transit they would charge me £50 for a courier etc..

if truth be told i'm more annoyed and angry at myself than anything else - i should have cancelled straight away!! - i don't usually get taken for a ride!.. oh well - live and learn.. i'm sure you can find a better/more competent supplier!

another update - i've got the wheels! - they arrived today so thought i'd put some pics up - should have them fitted on Saturday - to my amazement, everything was in the box (including spigot rings!) - i think they look really good and should look good on the car.. in short - i think i made the right choice r.e. wheel but the wrong choice r.e. supplier..
