hi all i had to take a short trip down the motorway last friday and when cruising at about 80 i noticed the steering wheel wobbling , if i slowed it was not as noticable .
i have recently noticed the steering vibrating when braking .
could the discs be warped if so would this cause the wobble at speed ??
the tyres on the front are only a couple of months old and were balanced and tracked , and was checked a couple of weeks after .
any help greatly recieved
cheers wellsy.

sorry forgot to say the car is a 1998 v70.

Ok, this could be a few different things... warped disks would definately explain the vibration under braking. Also, check the integrity of your wheels ie. if you have hit a pot hole then you could have a dent on the inside edge of a wheel that you cannot see from the outside. I had both of these problems and exactly the same symptoms as you have. hope this helps a bit. Mike
