Just been looking on the net at various things volvo.
On a site, www.volvoclub.org.uk I found a paragraph which reads, Some of the 70 series volvo's have a fault in the computer program in the ecu which results in poor performance. this is most noticeable in a standing start, especially the T5. Volvo have made an upgrade of the software for the ecu available at volvo dealerships. This upgrade is free. Although most owners should be contacted by the volvo dealership that originally sold the car, it is possible that some have not been contacted. The following chassis numbers are those cars that are affected, and if you have not been contacted to get the upgrade then you should contact any volvo dealership.
Chassis no's 486130-600403

I suppose cars that have been rica'd will be ok.
I assume that the no's are the last six on the number stamped in the engine bay near the drivers side wiper.
My R plate starts 41 so i assume the affected cars will be later models.
Some people may already know about this, but i thought it was worth posting anyway, as its the first i have heard of it.
