Hello all again,

Had my C70 a week now, and want to get the little niggles sorted, and one of those is that the steering doesnt feel right. If you go into the lorry tracks on the motorway, she goes all over the place. Now, at the moment she's got 235/40/18 tyres on, which are getting replaced today for 225/45/18's, so that my make a dfference.

Is there anything else that be at fault???

Cheers

Paul

Most likely tyres (balancing should help with new ones), but could be buckled alloy, tracking out, worn steering/suspension/ anti roll bar bushes, worn front struts /springs. Also ensure your wheels are perfectly aligned on the hub and the wheel bolts are not over tightened.

Its a amazing how much difference a decent tyre makes. Now got Michellem Pilots all round, and the ride is better, as well as the steering. Think I,ll still need bottom arms or bushes though, just to make sure ;)

I found the same with Contisport 3(?) Tramlining, road noise level all better.

Our C70 does it as well, as does my Scooby. I think its maybe just a trait of the cars & also our B***dy Gvmnt not spending any money on Road repairs.
