Hi folks I spoke to Mike at dastek on Friday and he said he wants us there for 8.15 so his guys can start on our cars at 8.30. He recons they will get through about 4 cars per hour and we should be finished by lunch time. Mike told me to remind all you guys who are coming to keep the noise to a minimum (no high revving, wheel spins, loud music etc) as they get complaints from the police and the neighbors. Any questions please ask.
Cheers Dob

should be a good day! :)

in addition to the above - it's not uncommon for the police to sit in the estate and pull people! lol!

I can just about throw a stone to where Dastek is from my house and when a RR day is on its not long before the Police arrive and sit about as a few boys usually have a scream thru the industrial estate causing complaints. There is more and more presence from the traffic boys in Dalgety Bay now anyway so be on your toes (they are using an unmarked sliver BMW X5 just now as one of their cars)

The Saab guys are arriving as follows:

Me 8.15
Lugy 8.15
Heyes 9.00

I think we do need to get an idea of arrival times for folks. This will allow us to track the actual numbers that will be turning up (on which the deposit depends). If somebody has to leave early we need to be fairly confident that the deposit is safe as this will dictate how much the individual pays. It should be easy to get folks to say if they're coming early or late, it also means that folks from further away don't need to be there for 8.15.

We can commit folks to a rough slot (knowing that it will probably change on the day)
8.30 Lugy
8.45 Dob (plan to be there about 8 ish)
9.00
9.15 Heyes
9.30
9.45
10.00
Etc

Dastek are charging £35 per car. (the £10 deposit is returned when 15 cars turn up.)

Other stuff that may be useful.
Fuel:
Nearest fuel is at the BP station in Dalgety Bay (KY11 9NA). It has 97Ron available. It also has a Wild Bean Cafe.
Nearest V-Max is in Rosyth, about 4 miles away. (KY11 2BN) (It's on the road from the Kincardine Bridge to Dalgety Bay)
There's also V-Max at the south end of the Forth Road Bridge
Nearest BP 102Ron is at the south end of the Forth Road Bridge (EH30 9YJ) (next to McDonalds)

Feed:
There's a burger van outside Dastek first thing but it leaves well before lunchtime.
There's a small cafe a half mile along the road (The Bay Diner) but I'm not sure if it opens on Sat morning.
We have a brand new Asda at the end of the road (no cafe but lot's of food).
There's a cafe in Dobbies (actually a tea-room so if you fancy trying to pick up a granny, that's the place to go) at the end of the road beside Asda.
We've got 2 half decent eateries in the Bay, the Bay Inn http://bay-inn.co.uk/ and The Granary behind the BP station.
A bit further away, at Halbeath (Fife Leisure park) we have a McDonalds, Pizza Hut, a Chinese all you can eat buffet place, a Mexican place, a Frankie and Benny, a Beefeater type place and a Nandos.
Thanks for your help Gordy :B_thumb:

Good day out, and good to see a few new faces.

Hope to see you guys again at another Meet.

The C70 survived its RR debut, needs a bit of a stage 0 doing on it, but pretty happy, swith torq figure and boost. bhp could be better

The s60 D5 will be run next time, I think. make more clouds like Tim's V70 D5.

Tim's made crackin figure pretty near the "claimed " increase 190bhp 358lbs/ft Torq tastic.
