Had the battery out today and found something (attached) under the tray.
Does anyone know what it is?

There appears to be a pipe missing (?)

The front most part of the unit has to connectors and there is not one on the bottom.

There usually is what looks to be an open connection point on them. Possible uses it as some form of vacuum release mechanism...purely a guess.

could be a battery drain pipe?stop the acid build up in the tray!!!!????
