I heard from a person that i beileve is '' in the know'' that you can drill a couple of small (.3 holes i think) in the turbo vaccum pipe on a V70 T5 P2 and it will effect the performance for the better in some way. Atm i am thinking he is 'BSin' so if some could shed some light on this i would be greatful :)

It would either boost way over safe levels OR it would loose a significant amount of boost. Either way, tell the guy he is a pillock and modify a car properly or not at all.

In all honesty i don't think i would trust anyone if they told me to drill holes in a vac pipe :P I was asking purely out of interest ;)

Indeed!!! The guy is definately not "in the know"! That is a crude way of doing what a bleed valve does. Coupled with the fact that it's a phase 2 T5, the ECU won't like it. It will flag a turbo pressure fault, and if it does overboost it will close the throttle to limit the boost.
