My battery recently went dead while I was in the process of trying to install my carpc. I think my dead battery was the source of many of the problems I have been having with it. So I decided to not have the problem again, so I upgraded. I need to wait till I get some more time off before I can see if my carpc is working now. Heres some shots:

Nice install. I considered an Optima, but can't justify spending £150+ when I know I need things like the aircon servicing.

It's not the running it effects so much, but with a carPC - electrical supply with a constant voltage rather than a steep drop off would be important.

Looks as though it's good enough to last long enough to be used in your wheelchair later on!!lol

I didnt want to replace my batt with something that couldnt handle the carpc and I wanted to continue my theme. It wasnt too much more then a normal battery, $169 vs ~$60. I just wish it were a slightly less bright yellow.

they are expensive but optimas do take a good drain especially if your running a couple of 1000w amps and 12" subs.most of the sound off guys i know use them.
