Bulbs behind heater controls.....Info

My 98 S40 T4..

The 3 dials for the heaters all the bulbs are out....

Now is this an easy job to get into the bulbs or a pain in the a*se..

I know a few cars i have had whole centre of dash needed to come out to replace a bloody bulb..

Please tell me this is not the case, easy job ?

Hiya, this is a POP job mate.

1.pull off the control knobs,
2. GENTLY prize out the heater panel surround with equal amounts of leverage as this plugs into the main heater unit behind it.
3. Hey presto. 2 bulbs should be visible on the back of the removed panel.

As above except on mine there are 2 Torx bolts behind the control knobs

Last time i looked the s40 dash was more than a little different

Also got a bulb out on OE double din CD player, behind the 5 and 6 buttons for tuner???? strange never seen this type go before......
