Heading up home to visit the relatives from London, over the 1st weekend in Nov(4-5), and was wondering if any of the guy's up that way are going to be around, would be nice to meet some fellow Scots for a change....

Fraz, as you know Glasgow a bit better than me, maybe you could suggest a suitable location, nice pub or something.

Any day Sat/Sun is ok for me.

What about saying Largs (dont no any pubs), Bishopton (good grub), or somewhere like that Sunday around 1pm?

Hi Fraz, I was thinking about largs, but don't know any pubs but I'm sure there are some, the only bit I remember is the amusements and the carpark next to it, from going there many years ago(when I wasn't as old).
I'll have a look at the torrist website and see if there is a nice pub, and give them a ring.

Bishopton sounds good as well(and good food is a must for hungry travellers and familys if they are coming as well), and might be more central for people.

I'm up for both so if those intending to come along signal their preference, majority vote it is.

WHAT ABOUT A WEE CIRCUIT,

Meet at phoenix retail park, down toward howwood B787, A760, towards lochwinnoch, then down to largs. (meet)

Then return up the coast A78, A8 / M8 to Bishopton, for lunch if Fraz knows some decent place that serves all day

useful ??

That sounds good to me as well, will have a look at the maps and pick out a first meet up place, we would need to start a wee bit earlier so we could make it back to bishopton for a spot of lunch.

I'll work a out a route card, just in case people get seperated on the trip.

Fraz, can you supply the pub address, and if those that can't make the road trip to Largs, can meet at the pub instead.

Thanks

Ok this sounds good....

Pub is

Bishopton Inn
Greenock Road
Bishopton
PA7 5JY

The Ideal starting point for this I would say, as Jase said, The Pheonix Retail park, Located just off the A737 at the Linwood cut off..... Mc Donalds carpark is a popular meeting place....

10-11am would be a good time to meet.... Lunch for about 2-3pm (should be quieter then)
