More for auto owners tbh,my new R has no reversing lights ?????? were do i start looking to solve the problem

check the bulbs in the rear lights, I have an automatic R and I got reverse lights,, fuses, bulbs,, cant think what else basic wise to check.....

fuses and bulbs are ok ????? is there a switch under the gear lever i think i can remember something about this on the auto`s

I think there is,, if there will be a switch, its gonna be under the gear shift,,,,,

Second that. It sounds like the switch needs a clean,check the fuses and bulbs first, and there is plug IIRC that is under the bonnet on the gearbox that needs a shot of WD40 and snapping on and off a few times.....I may be wrong

Also with engine off, go from 'P' to 'L' a few times quickly to clean the contact on the PNP switch

My lack of reversing lights was due to the contacts in the PNP switch being beyond the row style cleaning operation. Switch replacement isn't too bad to do.

No lights where the first symptom of my old cars PNP switch failing. I replaced it (easy job) then they worked perfectly. The cars dead no so if you want a PNP switch thats done less than 2k miles its yours for £40 + P&p
