850 R tuning

Hi ,Whilst ive got my 850 R in bits after it went pop i thought id give it a bit more go,ive ported the head & matched the exhaust manifold but can you gain anything by fitting the later type inlet manifold,also does anybody know if the 2.5 20 valve cams are a direct replacement for mine & if you gain anything by fitting them? Also is it right that S/V70 R rods are stronger than 850R ones,if so does any body have a set they want rid of? thanks

Later inlet has the ETM, so will require modification to get it to fit.

Cams are a direct replacement. Do some research on gains.

Any ME7 T5 will have stronger rods, a pre ME7 'R' will have near enough the same rods as you have, an ME7 'R' will have the same stronger rods as a ME7 T5.
