Hi all,
just finished the following on my 95 854 t5 auto;
i) drained and flushed my engine of coolant
ii) removed and renewed my knackered heater matrix for a shiny new one from GSF
iii) refilled the engine with coolant
iv) drained, flushed and refilled my auto gearbox with fresh new fluid (the old stuff came out like runny toffee) new stuff nice and red
v) fitted my sc900 3 cd stereo and amp
vi) changed my window wiper and headlight wiper rubbers
The whole lot took a little over 3 hours and I must say was extremely satisfying to do, b.t.w. dont be scared about changing your own heater marix when they go, and they will go, its a really easy job, took me 20 minues once the coolant had been drained, car now heats up like a dream and doesn't mist up the inside of the car.
It always suprises me the quality of volvo's and how easy they are to work on, as long as you have the right tools.
