Cool, I need to read that,, When I brought my S70R, the front speakers were blown by whoever had it before, so I have to use the back ones only and have front ones switched off,, so I might have to get some of those,, do you recommend them??

Congrads on your Dynaudio speaker purchase, you have to admit they are FANTASTIC, makes the stock ones sound like something out of a Toyota Starlet

Right back now, sorry for the late replies....currently changing broadband provider and am on snail pace dial-up for a bit, so no more picture uploads for a week.....

Answers to all

Arbee.....cost was about £600, which to be honest for eight speakers of this quality is pretty damn good...went to a premuim auto installer adn to do similar quality with audiobahn etc is about the same......and the volvo ones just drop in....no cuttting...

Stormhawk7...yes totally recomend them, i now have a top notch stereo system and the clarity is just amazing...can now hear all the twiddly bits in the background on all my cds.......clarity and strength of sound....very worthwhile and volvo too

Muscas - nice thanks, didnt realise how rubbish the build quality was on the old speakers till i took them out...all paper cones and giant magnets....

spencem875 - sorry do not know the answer for that one, though one can buy all the bits seperatly if you haeva good parts dealer who knows his parts system....

edit - as for the volvo sub bass unit, fits in the spare wheel well inside the spare tyre...have to say its not that great....tried it and the sound is rather muffled.....reason for this is that while it is a very neat install and leaves the boot clear, it is under the load area board which muffles the sound.....and the bass is not that low a frequency...only down to 40hz...i am after a bass nearer 20hz which you can feel and not really hear..so....i am having to compromise and put in a bass tube, whihc you can remove via its special plug system...

Went here, place near me http://www.autoaudio.uk.com/ for the bass tube....amazing place, full of lambos, ferraris and astons, well all very very smart cars getting new stereos.....check out their site...

Anyone know if the premium audio system was fitted as standard to the 850R? If I need to look which panel/speaker is easiest to come off/access?

I was contemplating an upgrade, so this info would be useful.

The grills just pop off, you will need a small screwdriver to ease them off.

So i take it. The dolby system is not the same as the premium System. The premium one is a upgrade of qualiy to the this one.
