Help please,

I need somewhere to take the C70, she is lame and needs a good vet!!!

Don't really want to go to Mill so is there anywhere that specialises in Volvo in the north east?

I know there used to be one in Sunderland (either on Villiers st or somewhere near) as they did work on my 850 T5 before I owned it, but can't remember what it was called.

PS. Needs to be somewhere that can read Fault Codes via the OBD II socket. (Have a feeling either the Maff sensor or ETM is on its way out).

Ray Chapman in Malton near York are really good, I had a problem and they read and cleared the fault codes for free.
I wouldn't trust Mill garages at all, just my opinion.
Not sure if they would pick it up from county durham but they travel 45 miles for mine so they may do?

heard a couple of people mention Scott Bank, personally speaking, i went to book my car in for the tranny fluid flush, didn't seem to bothered about giving me a price or a date to be booked in, mustn't wanted the work so i went else where

yeah, i've found he can be hard to get hold of.

he did a tranny flush as part of my last service and it only cost £25 or something, so rather cheap.

not sure how specalist he is really, but he's only 1/2 a mile away from me so its as easy to use him as anyone else

ended up using a different garage who didn't do a proper job and only drained the diff and topped the rest of the system up, ended up doing the flush myself using the instructions from the IPD site

Are Scotts Bank a volvo specialist?

I know there used to be one around the villiers st area of s/land as my old 850 had a service stamp from a garage in that area (may not have been villiers st - could have been a neighbouring street). However like a fool I changed the car without making a note of the details for the garage.

Does anyone have an address for Scotts Bank as I am always in and around the Sunderland area for work and it would be relatively easy for me to pop in and sus the place out.

PS. Just had a quote from Mill Volvo at Stockton who want 240 quid for a plug in and visual check over - daylight robbery me thinks!!! That's before parts and repair labour!!!

hi mate, don't know the adress or even how to actually get round the front entrance to Scott Banks..

The way i found them was...
Take to A1231 into Sunderland upto the square-about (big square roundabout thing) where the Peugeot Garage is. Heading away from theA19 and towards the Stadium of Light, you want to go straight over there, then i turned the first left and it was on the right hand side.

As i say, that's not the directions o the front of the building, but it's off to the side, just a small carpark divdes it form the road it's actually o. At least it ives you a rough idea of how to get there

I also use Autofix volvo specialists, they are right next to me at work and they are spot on and genuine guys.

he used to work for volvo, and he's cheap. but i get the general feeling he's just trying to do as much as possible, he dosent seem interested in trouble shooting.

he's certainly not a patch on volksparts the other side of durham

well impressed is all i can say, seems much better than the bloke in sunderland, so it looks like i'll be booking a service/rear disk and pad change/ATF change with him :D
