advice please!!!

Im picking up a 1993 t5 volvo on sunday with 110,000 miles on it, I'll be doing a oil changed on it asap, and probly a cam belt change aswell, is it worth doing the water pump while the belts off? and just wondering is it worthwhile changing the gearbox oil also?? and anything else advice more than welcome!

If it is anything like my 97 v70 at 110k you will need to do most of the Stage 0. Do a search for it.

A car with that many years and so little mileage, I would be inclined to change all the fluids, engine oil, box oil and coolant.

thats ok, gives me an excuse to use aftermarket hoses ect...

the bloke im picking it up off has done the following apprantly

DISCS, & PADS ON FRONT, PADS ON BACK, NEW AIR FILTER & OIL FILTER & OIL, OIL SEPARATOR & ALL HOSES, NEW ROTOR ARM & DISTRIBUTER CAP, LEADS & PLUGS.

what else needs replacing?

That saves you hell of a lot then.

Have alook at the condition of your vacuum hoses. He might not have changed them at the same time as the PCV system.

is it worth doing the water pump while the belts off?

YES! The one time I didn't replace the pump and tensioner when changing the cam belt, when i got a new car, the water pump packed up. Had to take it all apart again as i was scrimping on a few extra quid. Not worth it in the end!

Sounds like you are going to do a good job. May as well do it all properly.
