De-spoilering an 850

I was thinking about taking my spoiler off. Anyone know what is involved? Also what effect would removing the 3rd brake light have on my 'bulb gone detector' light? Would I need to refit another 3rd brake light?

Any advice, as always, much appreciated :)

Hi Andy,
I think the rear spoilers on the saloons are just clamped onto the bootlid.

If you remove your third brakelight then it won't have any effect on your bulb indicator light on the dash although i would retro fit a replacement one anyway as 3 is always beter than 2.

Cheers Steve for the advice. i have missed having a T5, so yeah pretty chuffed to have another. I have no intension of spending all my cash on it though, so i am looking for subtle [more importantly cheap] mods :D

Anyway, here it is my despoilered car. I ran out of time to clean the whole job up, and my replacement rear plate I was unhappy with. But you get the gist.

It's strange how we all like things a lil bit different innit:) I am plannin on movin my spoiler further back so it helps weigh up the side profile of the rear, I think it'll look better suited to the deep rear bumper. Havin said that and considerin what I'm plannin on doin, I quite like the look of the 854 w/out the spoiler too, hmmm strange...
