As the thread states, how do i find out if my 855 has self levelling rear suspension? i.e what do i look for to tell me.?

Plus a couple of other questions...sorry!!:sorry:

1.) If it does have it, is it better to have self levelling or not?
2.) Would it affect me being able to lower my car if i had them?
and finally.
3.) Is there an easy way to tell if my car has already been lowered?

Easiest way to tell about the self levelers is to look under the car at the rear shocks. Do they look similar to the picture of those on our web site? If so, you have the self levelers.

Have a look at www.volvotuninguk.com and click on Suspension. The black shock is a self leveler.

If you fit lowering springs onto a self leveler shock, then the shocker will actually push the ride height up even higher than standard. So you would need to replace the self leveler and the springs to lower the car properly at the back.

As to what is better, it depends on what you use the car for.

Adam.

Thanks Adam, as usual very clear and informative.

As soon as the rain stops and it's light enough i'll have a look.

Thanks for the quick response.
