As i was replacing the bulb on the drivers door my eyes were drawn to the sticker on the A pillar.I quote "the sips and air bags should be serviced or replaced at the date marked" in my cars case April 2006. As my car was registered in 1996, this means after ten years.Has anyone else noticed this sticker and if so do i need to do anything about it or is it just Volvo playing safe.

Thanks in advance

Mike.

Hi Mike, Its Volvo playing safe mate i think....

You can have them serviced, though i dont know of anyone that has and Lord only knows how much that costs...?

Top Gear done a test on "old car Airbags" a while back and they all worked Ok
iirc they said they should last the life of the car (Or something like that !)

If anyone knows how much it costs to get them serviced can you please post it up....would be interesting to know...My guess about £400...lol :Handshake

Mines due for a check in Jan 07, having read comments on here, it appears very expensive to have them serviced, so everyone seems to ignore it. Any one who works for Volvo on here could possibly give us there knowledge and experience on this.
