Animated avatars

I've noticed a few people have animated avatars. I have a few on my computer that I would like to try but I don't know how to get them onto the site.

make sure it is a .gif type file, and within the sites limtis. (think it was 20kb iirc?)

upload like you did with your current one, job done.

Most of the ones I want to use are smaller then 20kb but bigger then 80/80 pixels. Is it possible to re-size them ?

well you can if you know what your doing, but its a bit of a pain to explain.

basically, if you have adobe photoshop 7 complete with adobe image ready (or something similar, but i use PS7), then yes you can open the animation up into individual frames and resize them all, then create a smaller animation. :)

Thanks Rufe. I managed to get the smallest one to work. I have got PhotoImpact 5 which I believe will work as you say. Will have a go when I have a few hours to kill !

I managed to download a Gif animation software program too, Hence my cr*ppy blinking banana ! (It was my first try !)
