View Full Version : Central locking

Hi all,

Some months ago a kind individual decided to rearrange the fns door of my 96 854 whilst I was at the supermarket and then drive off, which was nice.

Thankfully he or she hit it square in the panel and the other panels were untouched.

Not wanting to claim and being slightly bereft of funds, I scoured the scappers for a door of the same colour, so I wouldn't have to paint it.

Eventually I found one off an S70 which went on ok and looks fine, unforunately I now have a problem with the central locking and because it shares the same fuse, the alarm.

Instead of locking on the first blip of the fob, the indicators flash and nothing happens until the third blip, when the central locking activates.

Unfortunately after a few minutes the central locking re-opens the car all by itself, leaving the car prey to any passing felon.

As a temporary measure I have removed fuse 6, but obviously this is not an ideal long term solution.

Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved.

Regards to all.
