Not a recommended modification this one.
Whilst replacing my radiator I had a look at the rear washer pump and found it to be jammed...a bit of reversed voltage soon cured that. As I'm letting the car warm up for the first time after doing the radiator I decide to try the rear washer. Can hear the pump whirring away, no water though...so as you do, I keep my finger on the button, still nothing. Must be airlock.
So I get out of the car and spot bubbles (not the monkey) by the back of the car and think oops, spare wheel full of water. Nope, dry. Then I spot the water trickling past the rear speaker and on closer inspection, there's another join further up the rear pillar and its come apart. The entire area behind the panels is soaking from my own personal fountain!
Why they don't put clips on these connections is beyond me. But I have to say that I take full responsibility for the mess as it would appear I was a bit enthusiastic with the compressed air pressure when I blew the line out
