Just in case people don't surf the VOC site, there is a Central meet going on in Stoke on Trent on the 17th of September at 12pm. Everyone is meeting here :

Only an hour for me too - I might come along to keep the VPCUK chaps company. Might also get some people who fancy joining our National Meet next year - if that's ok with everyone on here???

Cheers

Well I've just got back from the meet.....
It was a good to meet. I was nice to meet up with a few different members (and not nessesarily 850/v70 owners). The usual RWD is better than FWD arguements ensued throughout the day, but it was all in good humour. Some of the key cars were a 400bhp V40; Race spec V70; A few modified 700 series cars; and a very nice 200...

I finally met Don from Kalmer Union. He had some favourable words as he looked over my car pointing out a few bits of metal that I thought were structural that can come out, so he's given me some more work to do to my car (cheers Don). He was impressed with the polycarb windows, cos he's not done that to his yet...

I also had the oppurtunity to check out my Diagnostics socket with the Vadis PC Don brought along...... after all the wires that I've stirpped out my Diagnostic port no longer works..so now any repairs will have to be done in the classic trail and error way...!!!!

It was good to meet Abdul again and his Gold V70 giving the VPCUK representation, nicely polished too....

So in total there was about 20-30 cars turn up of varying degree 340's/700's/900's/ and the more common 850's and V70's. I let my car go for a test drive with a bloke who owns a RWD and he enjoyed it very much. He actually reckoned that my car had one of the fastest pick ups he'd driven. but I'm not sure if the huge amounts of cabin noise makes gives the impression of a faster car but I'll take that as a compliment...

See more of you lot at the next central meet...!!!!
(sorry I didn't take my camera so no photos from me...)
