I appologise now if this has been brought up before, but i can't find it on the search, and yeah the car's not actualy a T5.

Are the brakes different on a P1 T5 than those on a 2.5 10v 850? If so how easy would it be to convert the 2.5 to recieve the bigger (and assume better) brakes?

I think that the V70 P1 T5 has 304 mm rotors on the front, but I am not certain. The calipers are the same but the carriers are bigger. The systems on the 850 are not different from the V70 P1

BTW You don't need bigger brakes - just better pads. Ferodo DS Premier will be more than sufficient for the 10 valve. I am running far more power and I don't have bigger ones and I don't have a problem with stopping or fade.

Cheers dave.

Probably should have given the whole story first. My friend has a 850 2.5 which has warped rotors on the front and worn discs on the rear. He's gotta buy new pads and discs anyway, so he was wondering if he could fit bigger / better brakes at the same time!

Is he still better off buying std discs, and getting some decent pads?
