Ex- plod mini meet (North west)!!

Im thinkin of organising a mini meet, primarily to get pics / chat with other ex plod owners to compare spec etc!
what are the thoughts on this?!

I believe it would be different to other meets, and somethin that hasnt been done previously,and there seems to be alot of ex plod owners in the n/west area, due to a healthy supplier! but before the comments start, for anyone that knows me, you know that all volvo's are welcome, the more the merrier!!
There are no restrictions at all, It will be nice to show other members that ex plod arent always that inferior, despite peoples thoughts!!

Anyway, im lookin at sometime in september, any suggestions when??

Hi there, just read your post mate sounds like a good idea, its going to be easier for me to attend coz its local (north west) a lot of meets are held what appears to be a million miles from where i am, and i havnt actualy been able to get to any yet, im driving a p2 51 plate s60 t5 in silver - ex 5-0, what you driving anyway buddy?

I am deffo into a meet!!! My s70 wasn't on the road for the last NorthWest meet.
(I had to apply for a new v5)

I'm not joining in that one! - mine's already been back twice. First time it needed an oil pump and then last week the Air-con pump jammed and sounded like a goosed Starter motor.

But it's back and healthy now so I'll be up for a meet.

The date is going to be the sunday 1st october, and Im still unsure of the venue, but at least we have got time to get more members involved!

Ilkley.

There is a pub at The Chevin (just south of Otley) which has a nice sized carpark and pretty views.
Here is a pic of my old Landy there.
I am sure the landlord wont mind if we all pile in for booze. He seemed friendly enouhg when I was taking these pics.
There is also a (bumpy) carpark opposite for walking about on the hills.

Plenty of car park space, open till 10pm, then we can all fill our Swedish buses with Swedish furniture and get free refills in the cafe.

More serious now, Trafford Centre. Loaaads of parking, places to eat, cinema, bowling easy access.

If you require a mini meet or even a full meet in yorkshire, just let your area co-ordinator know, and he will post up the relevant details.

Being as Im organising a MINI meet not a full blown meet, then I decided to have it in the wigan area.

Nobody has to come if they think it is too far, the beauty of a mini meet is, if one car turns up, then it hasnt oversold it self!!
Its nice to get a few volvo enthusiasts together to chat cars n stuff. thats the point in these things so im led to believe!!
