Speaker situation in <02 C70

Hi,

Ive been searching around for information on what sizes of speaker the C70 doors can accommodate, now in some cases of the Dynaudio upgrade it uses a 8.75" mid bass and a 6.5 Mid range, however do models without the Dynaudio upgrade have the hole for the 8.75" mid bass in addition to the 6.5" mid range?

Any pictures of a C70 doors/boot would be amazing too!

All C70's will be the same underneath regardless of spec... i.e. holes....

Models without the Dynaudio upgrade will use the same size speaker, just probably a lesser quality....

there are two grills in the door? So it would make sense for their to be a speaker behind each one? Whats behind them?!

indeed there are 2 dynaudio speakers in each of the doors

8" subs behind the lower grill and 4" mids behind the upper grill with tweeters on the top of the dash.

Two more 8" subs and two tweeters or very small mid/highs on rear shelf.

This makes upgrading very difficult for these sizes. I have managed to get a 6.5" compnent set in the front with an 8" MDF piece with a 6.5" hole cut in it and mounted the tweeters behind the upper grill. Also managed to get a 5.25" component set on the rear shelf.

I run these speakers from a different normal sized head unit and a 4 channel amp and run a 12" sub from another amp.

All original volvo stuff ditched.

Result - A lot clearer sound, a lot louder, a lot more bass, mp3, CD/RW, ipod connection etc
