just fitted my new boosty controller and im running 14psi as standard? what is the max i can run before she starts breakin' up kaptin?
btw 1996850t5, no cat and performance exhaust fitted as well as special hot air induction!!

At the risk of bucking the trend - remember the higher the boost the greater the chance of rods bending. Be safe - keep it as low as you can but high enough to have a thrill.

Mine pulls like a steam train at around 1.26bar.

1.4bar is safe on an unmapped engine?
i know you're the guy's in the know, but using an mbc to get 1.4 is risky imo.
boost is going to come in early and he will probably bend a rod.

I never said it was recommended or safe. The question was what is the max boost before the engine breaks, which is 1.4 bar. Any more and the rods will go a funny shape.

mine boosts at 0.9 and holds strong andis completely standard,so hopefully the rica will be even more awesome!

just diddnt want the chap hiking up the boost then searching the forum for a new engine.

i dont need anywhere near that much boost, puts the willys up me as it is!!
ive got an electronic boost controller so i can control when the boost comes in, ive got the nitrous half installed as well, not that ill need it, 14 psi turned up just 10% feels pretty quick
