how hard is it to change a turbo

How long is a piece of string ...

it all depends on what mechanical knowledge you have - what facilities you have etc.

It's right at the back down the bottom - so it aint easy to get at for a start - do you really want to try yourself if you're a novice and screw it up ? probably not.

Leave it to the professionals is my opinon.

Ac.

PS> can you fill in your location in your user cp profile ? Interested to know where all the V70R saffies are located :)

is there such thing as a 19g or is that a typo?

i did my pcv system yesterday fairly successfully (inlet manifold off etc) about the most mechanically challenging thing i've done! don't think i'd be doing the turbo just yet!

Positive Crankcase Ventilation :)

Sucks out the gases, prone to getting clogged up with oil and causing excess presure meaning oil leaks. Changed all mine only to find they were in pretty good condition!

fiddly, very fiddly - but not 'hard' as such just need to be well equiped with lots of 1/4" drive sockets, universal joints, extension bars, torx bits, torque wrench - oh and dont be too attached with the skin on your knuckles! (can never have too many tools lol)

Abdul mate, give it to a Volvo indie, I took my 19t off my S70 and that was with bolts and nuts that were only a month old, and it was a PITA job to do, there is hardly any room to get a spanner on the bolts, remember they can be stubborn sometimes and do shear off,

I believe VT quote 3 hrs for the job. Defo not for the inexperienced and you need the right tools (short spanners and ratchet spanners really) just to get in effectively. Not worth the hassle IMHO
