new headlining ..mmmm!!!

I often wondered why no matter which colour of T5 you got the headlining was a crappy beige colour made of nylon!!! This was even more infuriating in the Yellow T-5R which was all black inside with amaretta everywhere. Sooooo..after being in my mates RS6 i loved the suede headlining and decided i wanted the same. So Frasers mate Dave the trimmer located some of the said suede and done a mighty fine job in making me a new look on the lining and the sunroof panel!! I have replaced the hearing aid beige coloured handles with silvery/ grey ones from a V70 to include the sunvisors with vanity lights/ mirrors on both sides. Only thing left to complete it is the interior light panel ..i got one from a v70 but it didnt have a sunroof so is too short but i can strip lights and light covers with black frames and black switches out if need be and paint the panel but would prefer original so dealers it could be !! All in all a pain in the ar*e job but i am really pleased with this change
Anyway lots of thanks to Dave and also Fraser for letting Dave do it at his house!! Was late when i finished so a better pic 2 moro !

Awwwwwww Im sooooo jealous, that was something I was hopin 2 get done b4 Trax, thought I might b the 1st 2 do summit 4 once...I DONT BELIEVE IT LMAO!

After seein the dark finish up-top in an STFoc' I knew I wanted 2 make the interior of my car seem more serious n moody by means of changin the linin...but because I haven't had access 2 the car I haven't been able 2 do it yet...shucks!

Gotta say tho m8, it looks bl**dy lovely:) n I'm not sure I would've used such lush material in mine anyway...was gonna b another trial n error, c if I like it, sorta thing, knowin how quickly I change my mind about stuff, LOL!

Cheers folks, it really does make a huge difference to the car, i like the whole dark thing inside LOL and you wouldnt believe how much more updated it feels. I was that chuffed with it i kept looking at it as i was driving and nearly wrote the Volvo off on a bend!!!

T5SLAVE...your prob would be having to do it in situ, i was lucky as i could take the panel out the back once all the trim was of, unless of course you want to take your back window out!!!

Granted, Craig' s red one is stunning too and you like his better cause his sounds the best, AGAIN( no arguments please lol). I think its a close call between the two and its all down to the individual. I personally would happily bite your hand off for either one but its a great wee touch you have added to TFB.
