Is it possible to swap alarms around in cars?

855 T5-R has a basic alarm and 855 T5 has alarm guard 2.

Is all the wiring there..?

Is it just a case of swapping relays..?

Impatient eh...?

Guard 2 is as crap as its predecessor.
Better off spending £300 on a clifford/toad or similar, might even get a few squid off your insurance premium to help pay for it?

Mine has G2 on it, failed again today as would not unlock (not the first time and wont be the last) there is an easy way to reset it which for obvious reasons I wont put on here.

on this subject - mine does something really weird. Will arm ok on one press, but takes 3 presses (beeps each time) to disarm/unlock- any ideas??? i may just rip it all out for something fancy when i'm feeling flush

Some previous owner has fitted an additional immobiliser which is okay but they've done something to the factory alarm.

It locks remotley/remoteley/remotly(?) but no alarm...
