Door lock problem V40 T4

Hoping someone can help me with this one, I recently used the key to lock my car whilst going for a surf, (Remote is a problem here with the water) came back and even though the door looked locked I can now open it every time even when alarmed using the remote!! All other doors are locked and teh lcok indicators stay down at the right times and up at the right times just drivers stays down. This did happen before and I used another key and the catch returned up to show unlocked position but this time it is staying put.....Please help if you know of any remedies..or resets or have experienced this.

if its the same sort of locking mechanism as the s60 the locking motor/door catch will be shot.
common fault on s60s so i would have thought same again for the rest
ive had 2 on s60s
my symtoms
lock the car 3 mins later that door unlocks itself
lock the car and that door willnot lock
open the car and that door does what the **** it wants
