As many of you may know BLACKBEAST and myself have been sorting out a groups buy from QUICK BRICK MOTORSPORTS who are based in USA. Anyone who has ever imported anything of value will know about the hassle of legislation and unexpected charges related to this type of purchase just to get your items into the country.
With the Webmasters approval (thanks Justin). We are now able to make this new thread in the members discounts section to clearly set out the instructions for everyone involved or who may be interested, but can’t be bothered reading 15 pages of rubbish…
HERE’S THE EXCLUSIVE ONE TIME ONLY DEAL
Greg from Quick bricks has allocated us a massive 15% discount on the advertised price of any item that is advertised (Please bear in mind some items may have been discontinued).
I will be arranging the collection from QBM, the transfer through UK customs including the generation of the import certificate requests to allow your items into the UK. All items will then be delivered to one UK address (Mine). I will then distribute your items to your door on a recorded delivery. All this service is available at a greatly reduced cost as we can split the cost down between us.
All you will be required to pay is - 40% plus £12 to cover everything.
Once you factor in you get 15% discount; VAT is 17.5% and import tax is approx 3.5% your actually only paying 4% to get your stuff through customs…. Which is why I think this deal is fantastic…and if the charges work out even cheaper I will be returning any over charge, cos at the end of the day this is a community purchase neither BLACKBEAST or myself will be charging for any of the services we have provided
WHAT TO DO
To do before the 22nd July 2006
Please contact Blackbeast to confirm an intention of placing an order, including what you are going to try and order. He may even be able to let you know what items have been discontinued.
23rd July 2006
Blackbeast will contact you via PM.
You will receive an “E-mail template” for you to complete. It will hold a unique reference code, which will be used by QBM to compile the order for everyone.
23rd July 2006 to 28th July 2006
Using the provided template (with all sections completed) get it sent off to Greg at QuickBricks Motorsports, (you’ll find the E-mail link on the website).
You will receive an invoice from Greg in due course. Within the invoice you will find an invoice number for you to use as your reference code in your Paypal account. If you fail to find your invoice number you can use your full name as a reference.
You will require a PAYPAL account. And no items will leave the US until all the group buy items have been paid for.
From the 28th July
Once you’ve worked out just how much you’ve paid QBM in GBP(£) work out 40% plus £12 and forward this in a cheque to :
Wayne Houston,
J Walk,
Station Road,
Rhosneigr,
Anglesey
LL64 5QJ
With a letter clearly stating the following :
User Name
Real Name
Unique Code
The QBM invoice number
Year and Model of vehicle
Delivery Address
Contact Phone Number
Items purchased(including a quantity)
How much paid in USD ($)
how much paid in GBP (£)
how much you're sending me
I can do Paypal if people want, but you’ll need to add in the Paypal charge of another 3.4%+20p. Please get in touch if you want to pay that way..
WHAT HAPPENS THEN
Both Blackbeast and myself will receive a Pro-forma invoice from Greg stating just what has been purchased and by whom. This will be cross-referenced with the UK generated spreadsheet that both Blackbeast and myself hold.
Using this document I can then work on the final import duty bill and pay it, as long as everyone has paid up. This will speed the whole process up.
As long as the import charges have been paid the items will only take 5 days from collection to delivery in the UK. Add on a couple of extra days and you should have your items by early August with all the duty paid up.
So sit back and relax and make a cup of tea and wait for them to arrive..
I will then reconcile all the charges and work out just how much I will be returning.
**Disclaimer**
Judgeninja or Blackbeast will endeavour to despatch your items in perfect condition, but apart for the UK despatch (which will be insured) can not be held responsible for any damage during the delivery process.
No correctly ordered part can be returned.
If by some major error, the import charges have been worked out incorrectly and the import duty works out more than the 40% as quoted. Any extra will have to be paid prior to the release of any parts. No parts will be released until all import duties have been paid.
Right I think that is everything so get looking and get buying. The more people that buy the cheaper it will be for everyone
regards
Wayne
