creeky centre console

how can i stop the centre console from creekin ive been in other 850s and t5s they dont creek ,its really really annoying. does any one know how to stop it. thanks

irst thing i would do is find out where it is creaking
you may have a screw missing where it has been out before

it seems to be the top more than anywhere else ,its more obvious when turning corners but also effected with bumps etc. i shall try take a better look tommorow thanks .

pad it out where it meets under the ashtray
might be worth taking it out and checking everything tight
esp if its had a car kit or stereo fitted
some auto electricians dont tighten things up properly

and torsion bars, it'll stop the chassis from warping on bends
