You are most welcome. I shall be using that term as often as I can for the rest of the day.
If you are lucky I may even venture the odd "automobile"

Totally ignore that Andy its a SCAM, it wiz on the TV the other night, they send you a cheque for more than you ask for, you bank it, it showz in your account, you send them the balance over and then the bank find out its a stolen/false cheque, by that time its to late and youve sent them a genuine cheque n your out of pocket thousands
A got a few like that selling my Pontiac,

Can second that, it's a scam. Was in car trade for good few years and had plenty of offers like that and heard all the horror stories. If you advertise a car, don't put your email address in the advert, saves you a load a oportunist emails. Like fraz says, proper buyers will want to come, see & buy the car. Good luck with the sale.

Similar thing almost happened to a mate of mine. They actually visited his place (they being Eastern European sounding...stunning girl and two bouncer looking types!).
Anyway, they didn't seem interested in looking at the car much and offered more than he had asked for it.
He decided to "think on it", reckoned they looked a bit dodgy so never went through with it. Later on the police contacted him, and told him to be cautious as there was a gang using counterfeit Banker's drafts in the area!

Thought you might have known about those ones anyway Andy! There are many, under many guises, including ones promising to pay over the odds in another currency by bankers draft then you refund them the difference in sterling etc etc.. not so much Caveat Emptor but in these cases Seller Beware!

Andy, to be honest mate we haven't had much bother with fraudulent car buying at work but i was aware it was happening around the country. Nevertheless i haven't mailed the guy back and he isn't getting any more details other that being told to P*** off if he calls.

Oh, by the way, on the car selling front i've had a genuine call from a chap up in the west cost of scotland who is keen to travel to view the car. He sighted the ad on the trader website.
